The Thing about Bandwidth. . .

In a move indicative of our increasingly bandwidth-reliant system of higher education, one Cornell University student has spearheaded an effort to end the university’s policy that charges fees to students who use more than the monthly cap.  Check out the full article at The Chronicle of Higher Education. 

On a related note, NPR recently tackled the issues of expanding bandwidth and the use of bandwidth for video streaming.  This conversation between host Steven Inskeep and CNET Senior Writer Maggie Reardon centers on perceptions versus realities in “Bandwidth Shortage.”  Definitely worth a read or a listen.
