An iPad for every student and faculty member?

Wow!  Florida Technical College is implementing just that concept!  This full article from The Sacramento Bee describes the basics of the program.  

Highlights from the article include:

New students in degree and diploma programs at campuses in Orlando, Lakeland, Kissimmee, DeLand and Pembroke Pines will begin receiving iPad 2 WiFi devices at the start of the quarter today, with Apple training available on the first day of classes. A technology cost for the device will be included in tuition fees.

The iPad 2 comes with an E-Book application for textbooks. The device offers many unique capabilities for students to be mobile learners, with apps for tracking assignments, taking notes, file sharing on projects and other tools.

Could you envision a Tri-C wherein every instructor and student uses an iPad or other tablet device?

How would you teach differently if every student sitting in front of you, or participating in your online or hybrid course, was using an iPad?
