Thank you for making this year’s National Distance Learning Week a great success!
The Office of eLearning & Innovation staff greeted more than 70 students total at campus-based Survival Stations. Survival Station participants played the Zombie Game and won prizes. We had another 542 access the Zombie Game through Blackboard. That is a total of 612 students who have learned more about distance learning by playing the game. The student participation game also allowed for $50 to be donated to the Student Foodbank on each campus.
Over 45 faculty registered for the Faculty Lunch & Learn 7 Quick Tips to Power Student Success. The sessions gave faculty a chance to share some of their favorite tips, too.
The week concluded with the OhioBUG Fall eLearning Day, a stop on Blackboard’s Never Stop Learning Tour. More than 130 registrants had the opportunity to participate in an agenda full of insightful presentations from peers, Blackboard product experts, Partners and Publishers.
Faculty and staff proved they know their distance learning trivia by answering the daily trivia questions. The winners are Sharon Doughten, Cathleen Rossman, Debra Siegel, James Gayhart and Dr. J. Micheal Thomson.
Thanks again for your participation in National Distance Learning Week!
