We have found a known issue relating to student access of the Content Collection. ITS is working to resolve this on the back end, and the issue should be solved for Spring 2014 classes. We have posted detailed information on the Known Issues Page under Faculty Resources. Or, click here to be redirected to that page. On that page, find “Content Collection Student Access” in the list of known issues for a PDF document with details and a step-by-step temporary solution until the programmatic solution can be implemented.
There is current an issue on campus computers when attempting to view SafeAssign reports in Internet Explorer. View the full Known Issue through the Faculty Resources button on the top right or through this direct link https://elearningandinnovation.com/faculty-resources/known-issues.
This update only applies to faculty who currently have an Adobe Connect account/license.
The Tech Team in eLi will be conducting an upgrade of the Adobe Connect system on December 18 – 20. There will be no access to Adobe Connect on these days. We chose the outage window to provide minimal disruption to students and faculty.
The upgrade will provide some enhanced functionality and an updated interface. It will also enable Adobe Connect to function fully on iOS. It will impact faculty who have accounts on either the Breeze or Lithium servers, including those who primarily use Breeze for content hosting. Those links are: (http://breeze.tri-c.edu and http://lithium.tri-c.edu.) You may be contacted via email twice if you have both a Breeze and a Lithium account.
We will provide continuing updates here on the eLi blog.
When a student submits an Assignment, the preview function may not display properly in Internet Explorer. It does display properly in Firefox and Chrome. If the assignment has been successfully submitted, the words “This assignment is complete. Review the Submission History” will appear above the preview pane.
Students can confirm successful assignment submission by clicking on the download link for their assignment on the right-hand side of the screen and downloading the assignment file to make certain that they submitted the correct file. Students can also confirm that an assignment was submitted by checking their grades and finding their assignment under Submitted.

One of the new features in the upcoming Blackboard update is the new Visual Text Box editor (VTBE.) The new VTBE introduces better support for pasting from Microsoft Word, the ability to resize the editor workspace, and new tools for formatting text with columns and tables.
Other enhancements to the VTBE include improved mashup tools and multimedia options: faculty and students can embed a variety of video or audio files or can use the new Video Everywhere function to create new video files using a webcam. Finally the VTBE includes a brand new WIRIS Math Editor that supports both MathML and LaTex.
